East Lakeshore is an Arts and Crafts custom lake home that balances heavy and light elements. The lake home features a robust stone base with massive angled pilasters that gracefully taper as they rise, creating a sense of upward movement. Supported by these are substantial timber columns and beams, intentionally designed to appear lighter through their tapered form. The arched trusses add grace and elevate the bottom chord above the windows, maximizing natural light and unobstructed views. Pagoda-style curved eaves in the roof enhance the overall levity. This custom lake home embraces thoughtful interplay of materials and forms, cultivated both an grounded and airy feel.
